to the study and development of engineering systems and modern technology. Bionics is
an extension of the Orthotics & Prosthetics sciences and incorporates
methods and subsystems of modern robotics.
Recent advances such as C-Leg, Rheo Knee, Proprio Foot, and iLimb,
are promising examples of current bionic technology.
